January to December 2017

August to December 2016

January-July 2016

September-December 2015. Back in Tanzania again!

May-August 2015. Flowers from the UK.

January-March 2015. We have been in Tanzania 2 years now. Still spotting new things.

December 2014. Mainly Kitulo National Park

October-November 2014. Still beautiful things to see

September 2014. Tanzania continues to offer up flowers to photograph. Also the unexpected cloud on the horizon which turned to to be millions of tiny insects. Once inland they settled on everything and people came rushing to shake them from the trees and cook them into a kind of dark bread, not dissimilar from a cow pat in appearance.

February - July 2014. Mostly near or in our garden.

November - December 2013. In November the Flamboyant trees are been flowering and there are still Jacarandas. Otherwise most plants are withered and brown. In December the great transformation begins and everything starts going green, almost as if by magic. Seeds are germinating all over the place. Here are a few flowers spied near our house

October 2013. The hottest driest month in the Mbeya area. Very little flowering except Jacarandas. Fruit: little available except Papayas (Pawpaws) and bread fruit (pictured).

July 2013. Mainly on Kitulo Plateau in the dry season. Rather lovely but cold. Perhaps some day we'll see it in the rainy season when it is called the 'Serengetti of Flowers'

June 2013. Already dry but still plenty of flowers growing wild.

April - May 2013 Rainy Season in Iringa.

January 2013. All taken in Dar es Salam, during our first 3 weeks in Tanzania.
